"ANCST have been walking beside the beaten paths since their beginning in 2011, mixing black metal with political hardcore, playing live without a drummer or releasing dark ambient / noise cassettes under the same moniker. this new release is no exception. "Stormcaster" is a perfect follow up to their latest yehonala release "dark space clutter" and their part of the "into the vortex" compilation. like their metal stuff ANCST have introduced more harmony and atmosphere to their dark ambient material over time, having progressed from their first raw noise / drone EP "lamenting a dying world" to a much more rich and saturated sound. we recommend you listen to this in the dark with headphones on. "
